Privacy

JiJi exists to keep the most personal material a family has. That only works if the privacy posture is absolute. This page says what we do in plain language.

WHAT WE KEEP

Your account details (name, email, and anything you add, like a phone number or address), and the contents of the records you build or contribute to — stories, photographs, recordings, and artifacts. You put it there; that’s the only way it gets there.

WHO CAN SEE IT

Only the people the record’s owner or custodian has personally granted access — by name, by invitation. There is no public content, no discovery, no directory. A story marked private is visible to its owner and custodian alone.

WHAT WE NEVER DO

We never sell your information. We never show advertising. We never use your family’s stories to train models outside your own record’s features. Every word in a record is labeled with who said it — JiJi never invents, never embellishes, and never loses track of whose words are whose.

MESSAGES

Emails and text messages go only to members who opted in, and stop the moment you say stop. See How messaging works.

YOUR CONTROL

Your record is yours: full export, full control over who sees what, and deletion on request. The architecture is built for stewardship, not lock-in — no dependency on JiJi continuing to exist.
